• Pricing for royalty-free photographs is determined by file size. Often buying credits, exchanging them for photographs that can be used and re-used indefinitely. The downside is you will not know who else is using the image and you must ensure the image has the appropriate releases (model and property) before using the image.
• With photographs that are Licensed (also known as Rights Managed) you may only use that images for a specific use. You specify how you intend to use the photograph and the price you pay depends on this. With non-exclusive photographs other people can still use the same photographs. Buying photographs with an exclusive (or rights protected) license ensures you are the sole user of the photograph.
